Social Events

Throughout the school year there are many social activities in which our students participate. These events include dances, movie nights, and festivals, which give students the opportunity to interact socially and develop the skills that will help them to succeed as they grow and mature.

It is for that reason that we sponsor and encourage many social events: Festival Alumni Night, Halloween Dance, Spirit Week, Olympic Day, Enrichment Day, Clubs, Homecoming Weekend and Dance, and the Junior-Senior Prom, to name a few.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School offers many activities to develop students socially and to connect families.

Father Daughter Snowball Dance

This event focuses on giving fathers and their daughters a chance to bond during a fun evening. It is a semi-formal event that sees girls in grades Pre-K through 8 gather with their dads, grandfathers, uncles or family friends for a night of socializing, food, music, dance and fun. The dance is held in February.

Trunk or Treat

This event combines families of the school and parish together in a safe Halloween Celebration. Families gather in the parking lot of our campus and children trick or treat from car to car. Trunk or Treat begins following Mass. Cars are decorated, festive music fills the air, and children parade in their costumes collecting treats.

Family Movie Nights

A unique event featuring an outdoor movie under the stars. Families gather with their lawn chairs and blankets for a night under the stars while viewing a famliy-friendly movie on a large movie screen. Refreshments are available at this free night of fun.

Games Day

An exclusive event for students. Games Day provides a full day of fun while students participate in outdoor games and challenges.
