Update to Weather-Related Closing Policy

After assessment of buildings today during our heat-related closure, Our Lady of Mount Carmel School has changed it's policy. 

While the school will follow Baltimore County Public Schools for winter weather-related closings, Mount Carmel will not follow BCPS's closures for non air-conditioned buildings.

If BCPS closes schools due to heat, Our Lady of Mount Carmel will open on time and close two hours early. If the school was already scheduled for an early dismissal, that dismissal time will apply unless the early dismissal would fall later than the two hours early on a regular school day.

Early dismissal for heat will not automatically preclude cancellation of extracurricular activities and meetings. Please check our website, Edline, and PowerSchool for the most up-to-date closing information.
